Step into a world where creativity meets sustainability, and where fashion waste is re-imagined through upcycling.

This exhibition celebrates the power of slow fashion and creative reuse, bringing together designers and artists who are transforming textile waste into meaningful & sustainable creations. It is an honour for us to showcase our textile wall art and sustainable fashion accessories alongside other passionate change-makers.

Singapore fashion innovators & designers are also featured, showcasing how textile waste can be a wellspring of meaningful and functional design. From repurposed garments to upcycled lifestyle products, every creation on display redefines what we think of as waste—and what it can transform to.

Why Do We Upcycle?

At  Scrapplique Galore , we believe that textile waste is just the beginning of a new story.

Our work starts with using offcuts, discarded textiles, and forgotten fabrics to create one-of-a-kind pieces with heart, soul, and sustainability in every stitch.

Textile waste is a serious issue. Millions of tonnes of clothing and textiles end up in landfills each year, often after just a few wears. This cycle of overproduction and overconsumption is not only unsustainable but it is destructive too. That’s why we’re committed to the practice of upcycling - giving new life to unwanted materials, by reducing textile waste, and challenging the throwaway culture of fast fashion in Singapore.

Upcycling isn't just good for the planet—it’s also a powerful form of storytelling and transformation. Every piece we make carries a history, a purpose, and a renewed beauty.

Why Upcycling Textile Waste Matters

The fashion industry is one of the largest polluters globally. Every second, the equivalent of a truckload of textiles is sent to landfills to incinerate. Fast fashion encourages a culture of overproduction and overconsumption, contributing to environmental degradation, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions like Methane.

Upcycling offers a powerful solution. Unlike recycling, which often breaks down materials into lesser-quality products, upcycling elevates waste into higher-value items without the need for extensive industrial processing. It keeps materials in use longer, reduces the demand for new resources, and encourages thoughtful & slow fashion practices.
